Waterford Creative Senior Photos
In Waterford, CREATIVE SENIOR PHOTOS are becoming more and more sought after.
Students want something different from what everyone else has. They want their senior photos to stand out from the rest. However, stepping in front of a camera can be pretty intimidating. You need to feel comfortable and confident, and you need to trust your photographer.
A great way to do this is to be a part of the planning process. Chatting on the phone together to plan your session is the perfect way to get to know one another before the session. We can bounce some ideas around and come up with a plan that suits your personality and style. This way, when we meet, you’ll feel like you already know me. I won’t be an absolute stranger.
We’ll need a vision for your creative senior photos. Location and wardrobe will be decided on together. You’ll want what you wear to be cohesive with your location. For example, if you’d like a beachy vibe, you certainly won’t wear high heels. Maybe you won’t wear shoes at all. I ask my seniors to go through their closets and come up with some ideas of what they’d like to wear for their session. From there, we text images back and forth to decide what the best options are. Colors, fit, and vibe are all a big part of planning your creative senior photos. (Click here for ideas on what to wear.)
You don’t have to know exactly what you’re doing in front of the camera. I know what I’M doing behind the camera. We will go over my approach before starting so you know what to expect. I am not all about “perfect” poses. Movement and feeling are much better than stiff, still, and stagnant. Movement also adds life to your photos and helps you relax and feel confident. I promise to guide you along the way to make sure you feel confident!
While we will have a vision for your session, spontaneity is a big part of my creative process. We might find an amazing hidden pocket of light, some interesting colors or architecture, or something you find inspiring along the way. Being flexible, changing gears, and experimenting are all part of being creative with photos.
Most importantly, getting creative senior photos should be fun! If you’re too worried about how you look, that will show in your photos. Be kind to yourself, take a deep breath, remind yourself how unique you are, and trust the process. It’s perfectly normal to feel awkward at first but let me assure you that that feeling goes away in no time.
If you are an out of the box thinker and would like to have unique senior pictures that are a little more creative and original than standard, I would love to meet you and collaborate with you.
Let’s make some creative senior photos and craft something cool together just for you!
