Detroit/Royal Oak Wedding Photographers
Detroit and Royal Oak are two of our favorite cities in this mitten, so we were thrilled when Mark and Tara asked us to be their wedding photographers. Not only are these two made for each other, they are surrounded by such a supportive and happy circle of family and friends. Their friend, Mario even officiated for them at the ceremony AND provided an adorable ring bearer, as well.

d the celebration in Detroit for a quick sip at Two James Whiskey, then a peek at how the renovations at the Detroit Train Station are coming along. (It now has windows, and is looking much better. What a grand old place!)
Meanwhile, more transformation was going on in another part of town, where a crew turned the Royal Oak Farmers Market into a pretty amazing wedding venue with a cool, downtown vibe. And the guys over at Lazy Bones BBQ had the smoke going for hours to provide guests with one of the MOST AMAZING plates of BBQ ever, the kind that’s so good you don’t even care if it’s all over your face!
The two shared lots of laughs, and maybe a tear or two as they said their vows, and paid attention to the wise words of their old friend. I love it when there is laughter during a wedding ceremony. It’s a great way to start a marriage.
Two “I Do’s” later, and the party continued, complete with giant Jenga and corn hole games, hilarious and heartfelt toasts to the couple, and some serious boogying through the night.
It truly was a blast.
Thanks, Mark and Tara, for including us in the fun, and allowing us to tell your story. Wishing you many years of happiness, laughter, and BBQ.
