Michigan Destination Wedding Photographers
Bringing along your Michigan Destination Photographer makes for a stress free experience!

As a Michigan Destination Photographer, we were thrilled to book a wedding in Antigua, West Indies! The island is also known as Waladli to the native population. We now know it as one of the most beautiful places we have ever been to.  We can’t wait to go back to Antigua-anyone in Michigan need a destination photographer? We’re in!

Planning a destination wedding can be more of a challenge than one might think!

You may be planning your wedding in a faraway place you’ve never been to. You have an idea of what it’s like, but you really don’t know what to expect besides palm trees and umbrella drinks (which basically, in our books is enough). You don’t get the chance to taste the food or the cake being served. You are left to trust the reviews and the wedding coordinator, who sounds really nice on the phone, but you can’t seem to understand every third word because of the heavy accent and the bad connection. By the way, I love a heavy accent of any type! Coordinating with all of your guests as to where you will be at what time may get tough. Helpful hint: most of them are probably at the pool with one of those umbrella drinks!

You planned a destination wedding so you could relax and have FUN! Bringing a photographer that you know along with you will give you something you can count on.

Here are some of the other reasons to bring us along!

When you bring along your photographers, you will know who you are working with, and know that YOU LIKE THEM! The two of you will spend the entire wedding day with your photographers. This is a pretty important day. You want to be around people that you jive with, people you are comfortable with, people you actually know, not someone who was “assigned” to you. We will have worked together already at your engagement session. Consequently, you’ll know what to expect, and we will be privy to all of your little quirks. Being comfortable with your photographers will let you relax and be yourself, and THAT makes for some great wedding photos!

Communication is key! We are easy to contact, and while some people accuse me of having an “Up North” accent, I like to think I’m pretty easy to understand. There are many details to go over in planning your wedding day photography. Details you don’t want any of them lost in translation.

As your photographer, it’s easy to contact me on the phone.

Better yet, let’s meet for coffee or a glass of wine and chat about your timeline for the day.  Which photos are super important to you? What do you want your day to look and “feel”  like in photos? When we all get back home, I will be right here to guide you through the editing, ordering, and album design process. As a result, you will not walk away with a USB and a “Good Luck”. It’s important to us that you have an amazing heirloom quality wedding album to look back on this adventure, and some cool art for your walls. A USB doesn’t look great matted and framed.

We will be there for more than just the wedding timeline, and we always have our cameras with us.

David and I look forward to getting to know your entire wedding party. We’re happy to document the Cannonball Contest they had at the pool while you were meeting with the cake lady. We might have a glass of wine with your parents, then secretly snap a few photos of them strolling the beach afterwards. Attending your rehearsal dinner is our pleasure, and we’d love to make sure you have some memories captured there. In addition, you might even opt for an “After Session”, the next day. Why not put that dress on again and head out to the sea or the cliffs or the rain forests and have some fun without having to worry about cakes and music and drunken groomsmen. Just the two of you…

Your photographers should be people that understand what you are looking for in your wedding photography. People you can rely on, trust, and have fun with!

So, give us a call if you’re planning a grand adventure, because we would love to be a part of it.
