Best Wedding Venues in Michigan
A guide to what we think are some of the best wedding venues in Michigan.
We hope you find some inspiration here to locate the perfect wedding venue to suit your style. From swanky and modern to campy and fun, the Mitten State has you covered!
The Peninsula Room in Traverse City became a new favorite venue in Northern Michigan as soon as we were welcomed by vineyards, and huge oaks and pine resting along the shore of West Grand Traverse Bay.

Genevieve’s Suite at the historic Bower’s Harbor Inn on the grounds is the perfect space to prepare. It has a charming, vintage vibe that’s relaxing and comforting.

Guests are welcomed to sit below the towering trees on the Great Lawn for your ceremony with stunning views of Bower’s Harbor, and the West Grand Traverse Bay.

The outdoor patio (complete with an outdoor fire pit), gardens, and vineyards to stroll in are perfect for cocktail hour. These areas are also great for your photos! At dinner, you’ll find The Peninsula Room’s menu is a delicious refection of Michigan’s bounty. Your farm to table meal will be house made and locally sourced when possible. This is not your average reception meal. Pizza from The Jolly Pumpkin (onsite) is the perfect late night snack to end your celebration with.

If you prefer an up north vibe that includes the big water, tall forests, farm to table food, and an amazing level of service, head north to The Peninsula Room.
Sonshine Barn in Gaylord, Michigan, has one of the most beautiful barns we have ever seen! It’s down home and elegant at the same time, kinda like when you wear your diamond earrings with your favorite worn in jeans.

Sonshine Barn includes a farmhouse that sleeps 24 of your favorite people, a clubhouse for the boys (complete with a basketball court, a pool table, and video games), and a marvelous bridal suite for the girls.

The farm boasts 33 acres of rolling land that overlooks the most amazing sunsets!

The staff here is amazingly helpful, and they have a VERY extensive selection of rental items, and can provide decoration services. This is great, as it gives you more time to shoot some pool with your future Father in law, or sit on the front porch with your Mom!

Think Anthropologie dating Restoration Hardware. Charming and rustic, Cushing Field House is meticulously decorated inside and out! The attention to every detail was not spared! The grounds and gardens would make Martha Stewart jealous.
